A Group consists of 5 or more ATASDA members with shared interests, who wish to meet in a convenient location, apart from the organised Branch activities. Group members can share, challenge each other, learn or enjoy textile-related activities together, with the support of ATASDA. Some of ATASDA's groups have enjoyed guest speakers, run workshops and held exhibitions for the benefit of their members.

Group activities must follow the rules and constitution of ATASDA. The Group reports to the state Branch or, where no Branch exists, to the National Committee. The Group has its own committee and plans its own activities and calendar, in conjunction with their supervising Committee. The Branch, or the National Committee, manages group funds, insurance and other legal obligations.

The Group plans their own activities and calendar, in conjunction with their Committee, and abiding by the rules and constitution of ATASDA.
